November Rounds: a round-up of everything and anything I ate, drank, saw, read, heard, or bought in the month of November.

HOLYMOLY November felt long. I mean, from the never-ending election to the quick descent into winter. And then, ya know, me turning 30 had quite an effect on me. I pretty much feel like Ellie (above) constantly. If I’m not at work, I want to be snoozin’.
WATCHING
Matt and I recently finished both The Queen’s Gambit (Netflix) and The Undoing (HBO). I really liked both shows but am glad that they’re both a limited series. The Undoing has very Big Little Lies meets Little Fires Everywhere vibes and the entire cast is just perfection.
I also started watching The Crown (Netflix). I used to have a strange fascination with the BRF (who else woke up early for Wills’ and Kate’s wedding?) but I haven’t had an interest in the show until now. I’m still on season 1 but am interested to see where things go and how they tackle the Princess Diana years.
READING
Ugh, I haven’t been reading much lately but I’ve got Red, White, and Royal You queued up on my kindle. I also received Eden Grinshpan’s cookbook Eating Out Loud from a doc at work. (She was sent two copies and was kind enough to give one to me!) I really need to crack it open and start cooking from it.
EATING
We (Matt & I) went to Aba to celebrate my birthday. In Illinois, indoor dining is currently shutdown but Aba has a really beautiful rooftop with great views of the city. We bundled up in our winter jackets (and I brought a hat) but with the overhead heat lamps, we were very comfortable! Aba is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, if not my favorite restaurant. If you haven’t been, you MUST order the Jerusalem Bagel, Crispy Short Rib Hummus, and the Kiwi G&T, naturally.
We finished off my birthday dinner with a slice of birthday cake from Sweet Mandy B’s because, duh.
LISTENING
Folklore, obviously. (I didn’t mention this but did you all watch the long pond studio sessions? Taylor is my queen.)
Diet Starts Tomorrow and pretty much all of the Betches podcasts. Also, a big fan of Be There in Five.
BAKING
Cranberry White Chocolate Christmas Cookies. On repeat. They’re soft, chewy, and a good combo of tangy-sweet thanks to the white chocolate and dried cran. Gimme.

DOING
Hanging with my puppy, Ellie.
And I started up a monthly [solidcore] membership and have been going 4 times a month. (Or about once a week.) I’m a huge fan and can already feel a difference in my core strength. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to up their core game.
SHOPPING
I’m utterly obsessed with this Bergamot & Amber candle from Madewell. It smells so warm but light and clean if that makes sense. The throw in these candles is really good, too. I don’t even need to light the candle and I can smell it form a couple feet away. (use code THXINTERNET for 40% off your Madewell purchase.) I also picked up this sweater in “heather moss” and it is so unbelievably comfy and soft!
I recently purchased a set of ~luxury~ pajamas (on sale!) and I cannot wait for them to get here! I typically wear a pair of boxers from Target or the Gap and an old t-shirt but I needed something better. I get so hot when I sleep and I hope upgrading to pima cotton helps!

What’s new with you? What are your plans for December? Have you done any shopping or made anything yummy lately?
